The Ready for Takeoff Scholarship is awarded each year to incoming students based on financial needs to help them pursue their dream of taking flight. Three scholarships are awarded each year to our incoming students. The scholarship is a $4,200 recurring scholarship divided up among the students’ flight labs for a total award amount of $21,000. Students must remain eligible through the program to continue to receive the award throughout the course of their training. The application deadline for our Ready For Takeoff Scholarship is August 3rd.
Initial Eligibility:
Hold a 2nd class medical certificate before the start of the program
Pursuing the Professional Pilot Helicopter A.A.S. degree at Lake Superior College
Continued Eligibility Requirements:
Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Be an ambassador and positive role model for future aviators
Maintaining on track in the program per the program planner with Lake Superior College
